Three Arrested under POCSO for Kidnap and Rape Attempt of Minors
Mangaluru: The ACP of South Sub-Division Kodandaram and team arrested three persons in connection with the kidnap, attempt to rape and murder attempt of three minor girls at Konaje here on February 11.
The arrested have been identified as Gunapal (25), Kiran Kumar (26) and Subhash (29) from Neermarga.
According to the police, on February 10, at around 5:30 pm, while the three girls were on their way to the Madrasa, the accused kidnapped them and attempted to rape them. When the accused saw some people passing by at the place, they fled from the spot.
The students brought the incident to the notice of the locals and the locals informed the police.
A case was registered in this regard. On February 11, all the three accused were arrested under the POCSO act, attempt to rape and murder.
