Three Children Drown in Pond in Kanhangad
Kasargod: Three children, all cousins drowned in a pond in Kanhangad here on April 30.
The deceased have been identified as Basheer (4), son of Nooruddin, Ajnas (5) son of Nasser and Mishab (6) son of Samir, all residents of Bavanagar, Kanhangad.
According to sources, on April 30, evening Basheer, Ajnas, and Mishab had gone to a nearby pond to play. It is suspected that while playing, they might have moved to the deeper side of the pond and drowned.
When all the three kids did not return home, parents started to search for them. At around 7:00 pm they found all the three in the nearby pond. All the three were immediately rushed to the hospital but in vain.
All three boys are cousins. The bodies have been sent to the hospital for post-mortem.
