Three Engineering Students Drown at Inoli
Update: Five students namely Indresh, Royson, Rohit, Vikyath and Abhijith have been rescued by the locals. All the three bodies have been retrieved from the river.
Mangaluru: Three students have been feared drowned at Inoli here on September 4.
According to the police, on September 4, a group of 8 students from a reputed college had gone to Inoli for swimming. While they were playing in the water, suddenly they saw one of the students drowning in the river. Two other students who were nearby rushed to save him and in the process, they too drowned.
Vikhil (21) from Beltangady, Shubham (22) from Bihar and Sriram (21) from Chitradurga are the students who have drowned. Vikhil’s body has been retrieved by the swimmers and Search is on for Shubham and Sriram.
The Konaje police have reached the spot and search operations are on to find them.
