Three Youth Booked for Assaulting 16-year-old Boy in Bantwal
Bantwal: Three youth were booked in connection with the assault of a minor boy under the Vittal police station limits here on May 28.
According to the police, on May 21, at around 11:00 am, near Kudthamugeru, Kolnad in Bantwal, three youth including the accused Dinesh from Kanyana came on a bike, stopped a 16-year-old boy who was on his way home, took him to the school ground and assaulted him.
The accused Dinesh, along with two minor boys, used foul language and assaulted the 16-year-old boy. Dinesh also threatened the minor boy with life. Out of fear, the boy did not file any complaint. On May 27, the video of the assault was making rounds on social media. On May 28, the minor boy filed a complaint in the Vittal police station.
Based on the complaint, the police filed a case under section 341, 367, 325, 394, 504, 506 and 34 IPC. The police are searching for the accused.
