TKK Managing Committee Meets Indian Ambassador K Jeeva Sagar

Kuwait: Newly Elected Members of Managing Committee for 2018 met Indian Ambassador to Kuwait K Jeeva Sagar on Sunday 11th February 2018.

TKK Managing Committee Members met Indian Ambassador at his office in Indian Embassy Kuwait. TKK President Wilson D’Souza congratulated Jeeva Sagar on his appointment as the new Indian Ambassador to Kuwait and handed over a flower bouquet as a token of gratitude. While the General Secretary Jagadeeshwara Shanubhogue handed over a set of documents containing details of the newly elected members of the management committee and briefed about the association and its various activities along with the souvenir released during the cultural event Rasamanjari and Tuluparba 2017.

All the committee members gave a brief self-introduction, TKK President briefed the Ambassador on the history and objectives of the association and explained how the association was working towards the main objective “unity through language”. Further, the members explained the Ambassador about the activities planned for the year such as Rasamanjari & Tulu Parba which showcase the culture and tradition of Tulu Nadu. The General Secretary updated the Honorable Ambassador with the various welfare activities of the association and trying to reach the underprivileged and needy in the society. He added the contribution made by the association under its welfare project Glimmer of Hope and Project Education.

Apart from the above, it was discussed further about the members of the association and the support to the members by the association. The involvement of the association in blood donation camps and free medical checkup camps including other events of the association to bring the members together such as family picnics and so on were also discussed during the meeting.

The Ambassador was delighted with the enthusiasm of the committee members and was keen to know about the association and its activities. He advised the management committee members to take all possible initiatives to involve all the members of the association in all the activities especially their spouse and kids for the success of the association in the long run. He also added that the proactive involvement in any organization should not isolate any community or group from the part of society in large and should always work with the society as a part of society and not as an individual or isolated group which will affect the unity and social life in general. He assured all possible support from him through the Embassy and conveyed his best wishes.
