Two Arrested for Ganja Peddling in Santhekatte, 1 kg Ganja Seized
Udupi: The Udupi Town Police arrested two persons from Orrisa in connection with a ganja peddling network at Santhekatte near Kallianpur on October 29.
The arrested have been identified as Devasish Sethi(27) a resident of Subramanyanagara near Puttur and Sanathan Patra (32) a resident of Santhekatte, both natives of Orissa State residing in Santhekatte in a rented house.
The police seized 1 kg of ganja worth Rs 25000.
On credible information, the Udupi Town Police team led by CPI Manjunath arrested both while they were peddling ganja near Karthik General Stores, behind the Auto stand Santhekatte. The investigation revealed that they had purchased Ganja in Orissa to sell it in Udupi District.
A case has been registered in the Udupi Town Police Station.
