Two Chain Snatchers Arrested by Anti-rowdy squad
Mangaluru: The police from the Central Sub Division Anti-rowdy squad arrested two chain Snatchers wanted in seven cases on December 9.
The arrested Harish S Nath (45) from Kotekar as presently residing in Derlakatte and Rajesh (45) from Kankanady.
The accused were using a Honda Activa and snatching chains from the neck of women who were walking alone. In this connection, cases were filed in various police stations.
The police got into action and arrested both the accused and recovered 126.960 grams of gold worth Rs 3.64 lakhs and the Honda Activa from their possession.
The operation was carried out by the ACP of Central Sub Division Bhaskar Okkaligaa, police inspector Ravish S Nayak, Sub Inspector Pradeep T R, Staff Velestine D’Souza, Gangadhar N, Santhosh Sasihithlu, Kishore Kotian, Pramod Maryhill, Nagaraj Chandaragi and Basavaraj Naik.
