Two Riders Injured in Tipper–Bike collision at Saligrama

Udupi: Two riders were seriously injured when a tipper collided with their bike on NH 66 near Saligrama Bus-stand here on Friday, May 20.

The injured have been identified as Ramesh Mendon and Ganesh Karkera, residents of Kodi, Sasthan. According to the initial reports, Ramesh and Ganesh were on their way to Sasthan on their TVS Apache bike.

A speeding tipper which was moving in front of them, took a right turn suddenly without any indication and knocked them down. Ramesh and Ganesh were both thrown off the bike and sustained severe injuries. Both were admitted to the Manipal Hospital and their condition is said to be critical.

The Kota Police arrived at the spot and have registered a case.
