Two students from Udupi killed in Bike-Truck Collision at Gokarna
Udupi: Two students from Udupi were killed after their bike collided with a truck at Gokarna in Uttara kannada district here, on June 9.
The deceased have been identified as Sayan Shetty (19), son of Sathish Shetty, resident of Ambalpadi and Arthik Salian (19), son of Rekha Sagarika a resident of Nayarkere near Brahmagiri. Both the deceased were studying in the Manipal University.
According to sources, on June 9, four friends including Sayan and Arthik had gone to Gokarna on two motorbikes. While they were returning to Udupi, Sayan and Arthik’s bike collided head-on into a truck killing both of them on the spot.
The bodies were handed over to the family members after post-mortem. A case has been registered in the Gokarna Police Station.
Arthik is survived by his mother and a sister while Sayan is survived by his father and mother.
