Two Suffocate to Death while cleaning Open Well at Ambagilu
Udupi: Two persons died of Suffocation while cleaning an old open well in Subramanya Nagar near Ambagilu here on Friday, April 28.
The deceased have been identified as Honnappa Gowda (45) and his relative Lokesh (24).
According to the town police, since there was a problem of insufficient water, Honnappa Gowda and his relative Lokesh got down into an open well nearby to clean it. The well, being quite deep, soon after they got down, both fell unconscious and died on the spot. Fire and Rescue Services personnel along with the locals lifted the bodies and sent them to the government hospital for post-mortem.
The Udupi Town Police have been registered a case.
