Two-wheeler Rider Killed as Speeding Truck Overturns at Hejamadi

Udupi: A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot after being trapped under a palm oil carrying tanker as it overturned on NH 66 near Hejamadi on Saturday, September 15.

The deceased has been identified as Jayaraj a resident of Nejar near Kallianpur.

According to sources, the truck carrying palm oil was on its way to Sringeri from Mangaluru. At Hejamadi the speed truck overturned and fell on a two-wheeler after the driver lost control over it. The Two wheeler rider Jayaraj was trapped under the lorry and died on the spot.

The Truck driver has been arrested by the police

Padubidri police have registered a case and are investigating.
