Two Youth Assaulted by Group in Beltangady
Beltangady: Two youth were assaulted by a group at Melanthabettu, Beltangady here on June 25.
The injured have been identified as Irfan and Nisar from Addur. Both Irfan and Nisar are involved in the sand business.
According to sources, Irfan and Nisar received a call asking them to come to Melanthabettu in connection with the sand business. When they went to Melanthabettu, a group assaulted them and fled from the spot.
Injured Irfan and Nisar informed their friends and also informed the police control room. They were then rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru. The reason behind the assault is not yet known.
A case has been registered in the Beltangady police station and the investigation is on.
