UAE: Autotech Moodbidri, Spiders Kundapura from Group A, Universal Steel FZCO Mulky and Prince XI Padubidri qualified for the Semi Finals of Karnataka T20 Floodlit tournament after being top two teams of their respective groups. Semi Finals are to be held on February 13 and Finals on March 6, at the Ajman Oval Grounds.
In the 8th Match Aura Bhatkal got the better of Bangalore Vikings by 4 wickets; Mohammad Rasek of Aura Bhatkal for his fine bowling performance was the Man of the Match. In the 9th Match Prince XI Padubidri won easily by 9 wickets against Coastal Cricket Club Manipal thanks to fine all-round performance from Farhan Beary. 10th Match saw the fine batting performance from centurion Punith Kumar helping Autotech Moodbidri win over Bangalore Vikings by 117 runs.
In the 11th Match Universal Steel FZCO Mulky won easily against Coastal Cricket Club Manipal with fine bowling performance from Mohammad Shafi. The much anticipated 12th match between favorites Mysore Royals ANIB XI on Top and Universal Steel FZCO Mulky saw the latter holding nerves to win the game by 6 wickets, Sandeep Shetty was declared Man of Match for his fine batting performance. 13th Match resulted in a close finish for Prince XI Padubidri winning against Mangalore Cricket Club by 9 runs with Jagadish Kunder being awarded Man of Match for his good batting performance. Aura Bhatkal got the better of Sealine Coorg Tuskers in the 14th Match winning it easily by 9 wickets. Sarfaraz Jakaku of Aura Bhatkal was awarded Man of Match for his all-round performance.
Mohammad Asif of Universal Steel FZCO Mulky dazzled with bat and ball helping his team to win by 32 runs against Mangalore Cricket Club in the League’s 15th match. In the 16th Match Autotech Moodbidri won by 90 runs against Aura Bhatkal with Punith Kumar shinning with bat and ball. 17th Match between group A toppers saw Autotech Moodbidri holding nerves to win by 5 runs against Spiders Kundapura in a close contest. Ubaida of Autotech Moodbidri was awarded Man of Match for his all-round performance. In the 18th Match Bangalore Vikings won against Sealine Coorg Tuskers by 5 wickets; Victor D’Souza was awarded Man of Match for his bowling performance. In the 19th Match Mysore Royals ANIB XI on Top got the better of Mangalore Cricket Club winning by 7 wickets; Prajval of Mysore Royals was the Man of the match for his bowling performance. In the last league game Spiders Kundapura got past Bangalore Vikings by 49 runs with Prashanth Shetty again proving handful with his fine bowling performance.
