Udupi District Congress Workers Protest against CBI raid on D K Shivakumar Residence

Udupi: The members of the district Congress held a protest march on October 6, against the raid on the residence of KPCC President DK Shivakumar, by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The protesters took out a protest march from the Udupi Congress Bhavan to Ajjarakad Junction and shouted slogans against the Central and state government.

The protesters alleged that the CBI officials were acting at the behest of the Central Government. They also alleged that Yediyurappa is misusing his power for political gains.

The protesters were arrested by the police when they attempted to block the road near Ajjarkadu Circle.

Udupi District Congress Vice president Prakyath Shetty, Congress leader Kishan Hegde, Harish Kini, Yathish Karkera, Naveenchandra Shetty, Geetha Wagle, Murali Shetty, Veronica Cornelio, Roshni Oliver, Jyothi Hebbar, Prabhakar Acharya, Sanjay Acharya, Rehaman Kodavoor and others were present.
