K Annamalai Superintendent of Police Udupi district flagged off the ‘Suraksha Ratha’ (Publicity vehicle, which gives details of the modus operandi of all forms of crimes.) and said that The main idea behind the move is to seek cooperation of the people in trouble – prone areas to prevent crime by creating awareness.

Ignorance or lack of awareness was one of the reasons for increase in crimes. Many crimes have been taking place because the culprits are able to deceive the people. Some might deviate people’s attention by dropping currency notes, while others would offer unsolicited help. But at the end, gullible people would lose money, gold or other valuables.

The district police have taken all measures for the smooth functioning of the forthcoming Paryaya festival. This time the number of VVIPs, Z category security holding persons will be attending the Paryaya festival and we have strengthened the security in and around Udupi.

Former deputy prime minister and senior BJP leader L K Advani will also be attending the Paryaya festival in Udupi. The Police department has decided to have zero traffic in the city limits on January 17 and 18. He also requested the citizens of Udupi to co-operate with the police department.

  1. Dear readers,

The symbol of peace is always in the form of white color. Is this ‘Suraksha Ratha’ is publicity for Parya with Swamiji as an brand ambassador?

These ‘Rath Yatra’ which Former VP LK Advani once took left trails of bloodshed and millions in damage. This vehicle looks like a ‘Lottery ticket’ or ‘Yakshagana’ publicity in my old days. when we were kids there is guy with drum go to each colony read the notice. Is India going Digital or backward?

Respected Annamalai Sir, The best way to make the impact of awareness is by connecting to the masses. There are many local TV channels, use the slot in most modern way. Drop the leaflet with emergency numbers to each residence in your jurisdiction.Increase the night patrols.Reward the informers.Check the efficiency of intelligence inputs.Organise multi faith Janata darbar and address the grievances.

Above all put an end to the communal violence, religious hatred and zero tolerance to the political interference.

For any development of the nation peace is the important factor. Kindly ensure the unity and diversity of this region and nation as one.

    Jai Hind
