Udupi: A women was seriously injured in an accident at Laxmindranagar Fourth Cross here on Wednesday, March 25.
The injured person has been identified as Mallamma, a migrant worker from North Karnataka.
According to an eyewitness, Mallamma was seriously injured after a Yamaha R15 bike hit her while she was crossing the road near Kamakshi Temple.
Mallamma is said to be in a serious condition and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Manipal. Reckless driving by the biker had caused the accident, said the eyewitness.
The Manipal Police arrived at the spot and took the biker into custody.
