Udupi: A bike rider was seriously injured when a speeding service bus hit his bike on NH 66 near Udayavar Bypass here on Tuesday, June 2.
According to the police, the service bus ‘Shree Sathyanath’ which was playing from Udupi to Moodubelle hit the bike rider who was riding towards Katapadi. The Bike rider was thrown to the ground and was seriously injured.
The reckless driving of the bus driver had caused the accident, an eyewitness said to mangalorean.com. The rider was seriously injured and has been admitted to a private hospital in Udupi. His identity is not yet known.
Udupi Traffic Police visited the spot.
