Udupi RTO in ACB Net for accepting Bribe to release Tax Refund

Udupi: Sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau raided the Udupi district Road Transport office, Manipal on Saturday, March 16.

The raid came in the wake of allegations on the RTO officer for demanding a bribe for releasing the Tax Refund amount of a burnt car during the Air Show. The RTO officer Varnekar demanded Rs 6500 bribe for releasing the Tax refund amount. On Saturday, March 16 the accused RTO officer was caught red-handed by the ACB Police while accepting Rs 4000 from the complainant Munnar from Udupi.

The raid was conducted by the ACB DySP Udupi and his team.
