Udupi: The body of a missing youth was found in a well at Kaup here on April 23.
The deceased has been identified as B L Shreesha Rao (19), son of B Laxmikant Rao resident of Ambadi Mattu, Kaup.
According to the police, Shreesha Rao was pursuing BBM education in a private College in Udupi and exams were going on. On April 21, Shreesha who had gone out never returned. His parents filed a missing person’s complaint in the Kaup Police Station.
On April 23 morning, foul smell was emanating from the well while Laxmikant Rao was drawing water. While peeping in the well Laxmikant saw a body floating in the well. He immediately informed the police. Kaup police rushed to the spot and lifted the body from the well.
It is learnt that due to stress, Shreesha had taken the extreme step. A case has been registered in Kaup police station.
