Udupi Town Police Seize 13 Vehicles for Lockdown Violations
Udupi: As many as 13 vehicles including a Bolero Jeep have been seized after the Udupi Town Police intensified action against violators of the nation-wide lockdown on April 1.
According to the Town PSI Sakthivelu, we are strictly following the lockdown regulations in the Udupi Town police station limits. On April 1, our police team while checking various spots like Beedingudde, Adi-Udupi, Kalsanka and Karavali Junction seized 12 two-wheelers and a four-wheeler.
Police were forced to seize vehicles as they came to the roads despite regular appeals to the public not to unnecessarily venture on to the roads since the lockdown was in force. The seized vehicles will not be released until the lockdown period is over. PSI Sakthivelu appealed to the public to follow the lockdown regulations and stay indoors as a safety measure.
