Udupi: The police have detained two persons on charges of allegedly raping a minor. The 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on June 15, afternoon.
The accused are identified as Santosh Shetty (23) and Nitesh (22). The 15-year-old girl had developed a relationship with Santosh Shetty which was known to Nitesh. It is said that Nitesh took advantage of the situation and raped her.
A case has been registered in the Hiriyadka Police Station under Section 376 of Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
