Udupi: The railway protection force (RPF), soon after finding the bag mentioned in the earlier report during inspection made all efforts to find out the owner.

It was inspected in the presence of the station master and a large amount of gold was found therein. With the help of the documents found in the bag, the officials came to know that the owner had travelled to Goa by the Matsyagandha express.

The railway officials from here contacted the RPF in Madgaon in Goa. The passenger was still under the impression that the bag was with him. He was on his way back to Mumbai after celebrating the birthday of his twins. As it was inconvenient for him to cut short the journey at Goa and return to Udupi, his relatives here were authorized to collect the bag.

The family has appreciated the sincere and prompt gesture of the RPF in the interest of a passenger.
