Udupi: The 108 ambulance of the State Health Services became a delivery room for a 20-year-old woman who gave birth to a baby boy on Friday, November 13 morning.
Sanjana, wife of Gopal from Neelavar near Brahmavar, developed labour pains during the wee hours of Friday. Gopal called for the 108 ambulance. Sanjana was on her way to the Women and Child Government Hospital from Neelvar when she delivered the baby. 108 Ambulance staff Chandrashekar and driver Mallappa helped Sanjana to deliver the baby.
The mother and child were later admitted to the Women and Child Government Hospital Udupi.
