Ullal: Serial Theft at Konaje – Hardware Shop set Ablaze

Ullal: Number of thefts are on the rise with thieves taking advantage of the rains. Thieves have targeted 7 shops and set another shop on fire at Konaje here, on July 1.

According to sources, it is learnt that on July 1, thieves entered seven shops by breaking open the shutters and front doors. Thieves stole three cameras from Amma Studio, belonging to Apul Alva Ira. They also stole mobiles from G T Mobile, Jeevan Mobile Shop, equipment from Ravi Xerox, Ideal Juice Centre, D H Super Bazar and D H Bakery.

Thieves also set fire to Rifai Hardware shop at Fathima Complex belonging to Sahul Hameed. The fire brigade arrived at 2:30 am and doused the fire. The estimated loss is said to be around Rs 35 lakh.

MUDA Chairman Ibrahim Kodijal, Satish Kumpala, Konaje Police Inspector Raghav Padil, Sub Inspector Sudhakar visited the spot.

A case has been registered in the Konaje Police Station.
