Unidentified Male Body Found in Gurpur River
Mangaluru: An unidentified male body was fished out of the Gurpur River near the Tippunagar ground here, on June 7. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
Judging by the decomposed state of the body, police officials have estimated the time of death to be about 3 to 4 days ago. It is strongly suspected that the victim was murdered since the body was found with the hands and throat bound with a cloth. Police have also discovered that the person was stabbed in the stomach.
Although the identity of the person is yet to be ascertained, investigating officials have approximated the victim to be around 35-40 years of age.
A case has been registered under sections 302, 201 of the IPC and investigations are on.
