Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Swami Aparajitananda, the Resident Swami at Mangalore Chinmaya Mission Centre, near Hoige Bazar-Mangaluru said, ” The central message of all the scriptures is only one – that we are infinite, immortal, blissful Consciousness. We are none other than God. To realize this truth experiential is the very goal of life. This realization is called as Mukti, Moksha, Liberation, Enlightenment, Nirvana or Salvation”.
Swami further said, “If we are divine, then why is that we are not able to experience the divinity in us? The scriptures say that it is because of our impure mind. A mind filled with negativity’s like anger, greed, jealousy, ego, worries and anxieties etc. can never experience this state of perfection. Hence the scriptures ask us to purify our mind. Once the mind is purified it becomes fit to understand and absorb the spiritual knowledge. All spiritual practices are meant for this purification of our mind”.
