Vishu Yake Bidithiappa?(Vishu Why Are Leaving?) H Vishwanath Resigns as JDS Karnataka President after Lok Sabha Debacle

Mangaluru: Sources reveal that Vishwanath had on Monday said that he wanted to resign as the JD(S) president taking moral responsibility of the poll debacle. He had also said that he was ready to resign twice earlier but was stopped by party supremo Deve Gowda. Announcing his resignation, H Vishwanath said that it is his moral responsibility. “I have resigned from my office of state JD(S) president. It is my moral responsibility [after] the debacle in the Lok Sabha polls,” he told media
Speaking of the coordination committee, over which Vishwanath had earlier raised questions, he said that he has raised issues about it. He had earlier said that coalition’s coordination committee chief Siddaramaiah was not doing well at the post. “I am not only talking about Siddaramaiah. My point is as chief, Siddaramaiah should take both parties together and it is very important to implement the common minimum programme. We have not understood till now the policies, rules and regulations of the coalition. Who will write? It should be the president,” he had said.

After resigning from the post, Vishwanath said that both the coalition partners should be part of the coordination committee but it wasn’t the case. “Both partners should be part of the coordination committee but presidents of both parties are not part of the committee. Even the common minimum program has not been implemented,” he said.
