Why Modi delivers Speeches Saying he Provides a Stable Govt? – Deve Gowda

Mangaluru: “Our prime minister Narendra Modi is attending rallies and programmes throughout the country and in his speeches says that we need a stable government. Why is he saying it in every speech? Is he the only person who can give a stable government? Didn’t Vajpayee give a stable government? Didn’t Manmohan Singh provide a stable government for 10 years? What was he doing in his four-and-half years tenure as PM? In his speeches, he says that he is the only one to give a stable government! When you say this once or twice people will believe you, but if you say it repeatedly people will not trust you. Now people are smart enough to understand. Every citizen of this country has patriotism and is ready to fight against terrorism”, said the former Prime Minister Deve Gowda in a press meet held at MLC Farook’s office in the DC Office premises here on March 3.

Addressing the mediapersons Deve Gowda said, “The BJP tried to destabilize the coalition government in the state. During the oath-taking ceremony of the CM, all the leaders from other parties except NDA attended the programme where they all accepted H D Kumaraswamy as the Chief Minister of Karnataka. Soon the Lok Sabha elections will be declared and we will take a collective decision to distribute the tickets. We will field 10 or 12 of our candidates to contest the Lok Sabha elections. Nikhil Gowda is our aspirant who will contest from Mandya and I have given him the permission, I don’t want to disappoint him. In Mandya the JD(S) party is strong and we will field our candidate”.

When asked about Sumalatha Ambareesh contesting from Mandya Constituency, Deve Gowda said, “Mandya constituency is a stronghold of the JD(S) and Nikhil Gowda is an aspirant, we will field Nikhil from Mandya.”

When asked whether Deve Gowda is contesting from any constituency, Deve Gowda said, “It is not important whether I contest or not. I have very good experience in politics. So far I have not decided to contest in the Lok Sabha elections”.

Later cheques were distributed for the poor patients from MLC Farooq’s fund by Deve Gowda.

MLC Farooq, District president of JD(S) Mohammed Kunhi, JD(S) Spokesperson Sushil Noronha, M B Sadashiv, Akshith Suvarna and others were also present.
