Woman Creates Awareness against Suicidal Tendencies through Bike Ride

Udupi: A 27-year-old bike rider and Psychiatrist from Hyderabad, who plans on covering 36 states to spread the message against suicide, reached the city on Monday March 7.

Riding alone from Goa, Sana aims to cover every state in the country. 27-year-old Sana Iqbal is spreading the message that suicide is not the solution for any problem and it is not a brave step. She is visiting colleges, meeting students and inspiring them.

Sana Iqbal, who once suffered from depression, is now creating awareness and educating people about the same. She believes that “suicide is not the solution”. She has been creating awareness by her 45 minutes talk at colleges about anti-depression and anti-suicidal tendencies. Motivating people and taking promise that they would spread happiness. Her slogan is, “Suicide is not the solution”.

Sana, born into an advocate family in Hyderabad. Being a professional corporate trainer, she gave a break to her job after being stumped by her married life. She started off on her Royal Enfield Bullet Electra from Goa with a social message.

She started her journey on 23 November with Rs 40,000 in hand. Till now Sana has spent Rs 6 lakh for her journey. In every city the Bullet riders associations are helping Sana. She has already rode through 47 cities of 9 States covering 17,000 km. Sana has already visited Goa, Delhi, Daman, Mumbai, Gokarna and reached Udupi on Monday. Later Sana proceeded to Mysuru from Udupi. Sana will be spending a maximum of 2-days in every state. She will complete her journey in Hyderabad.

Sana who reached Udupi on her Bullet Electra 350 CC bike, had set on a five-month journey starting from Goa on November 23 and is expected to cover a large number of cities across the country where she has been addressing college students on identifying depression in themselves and their peers, overcoming negative thoughts and influence, setting priorities in life and overcoming the psychological setbacks.

Wherever I had been, I was welcomed with open arms, I never had a bad experience. My goal is to travel to each and every state in the country and conduct awareness workshops. I started from Goa and will complete the trip in Hyderabad, says Sana.
