World Environment Day Workshop on ‘Air Pollution & Its Impact on Climate Change at Sahyadri
Mangaluru : Department of Civil Engineering, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru in association with Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, Mangaluru will be organizing a two day Workshop on “AIR POLLUTION AND ITS IMPACT ON CLIMATE CHANGE” in observation of WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY – 2019 on 28th and 29th June 2019 at Sahyadri campus Mangaluru. The Program Inauguration will be by Sri. Kadlur Sathyanarayana Acharya, Principal District & Session Judge & Chairman, DLSA, Dakshina Kannada. Theme Speaker for the programe is Dr. R Lakshminarayan, Member, Karnataka Public Service Commission, Bengaluru.
Other Guests gracing the workshop are : Sri. Gangadhara A G, Principal Senior Civil Judge, CJM,& Member Secretary, DLSA, Dakshina Kannada; Sri. Rajshekhar Puranik, Environmental Officer, KSPCB, Mangaluru; and Dr. S Manjappa, Director- R & D, SCEM, Mangaluru. Dr. R. Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal, SCEM, Mangaluru will preside.

The theme of World Environment Day 2019 invites us all to consider how we can change our everyday lives to reduce the amount of air pollution we produce, and thwart its contribution to global warming and its effects on our own health. We are faced with an urgent task. Sahyadri College has experience in the area of training the students, teachers and industry persons in the field of environmental monitoring and protection measures both in academic programmes and consultancy services organizing workshop.
