Yakshamithraru to present historical play ‘Chakreshwara Pareekshitha’ on June 30
Dubai: “Yakshamitraru” a dedicated organization which promotes ‘Yakshagana’, the rich and unique folk art of Tulunadu, around UAE will be organizing “Chakreshwara Pareekshitha”, a historical play, on 30 June 2017 at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, to celebrate their 14th year of existence in association with Precious Party and Entertainment Services.
Amateur members of Yakshamithraru, perform Yakshagana every year with the main intention to preserve the traditional and ancient form of art for the generations to come. Yakshamitraru are training and providing an opportunity to all those keen and interested towards Yakshagana without any charges, and a motivation to children and young generations to be a part of Yakshagana from many years.
During the press meet and ticket releasing ceremony Dinesh Shetty Kottinje briefed that one of the noted Yakshagana artistes, Girish Rai Kakkepadav will lead in Bhagavathike, Adoor Ganesh Rao in Maddale, Janardhan Perla in Chende and costumes and make-up will be done by Gangadhar D Shettigar.
Chidananda Poojary, Venkatesh Shastry, Shekhar Shettigar, Vittal Shetty, Rajesh Shetty, Sathish Poojary, Rajesh Kutthar, and many Yakshagana lovers were present at the press meet.
Shekhar Shettigar, added that the gate for ”Yakshamithraru” will be opened at 4.00 pm and Yakshagana will start at 5:00.pm sharp as every year.
Rajesh Kuttar compered the programme and Organizers have requested all Yakshagana lovers to extend their support and co-operation for the success of “Chakreshwara Pareekshitha” and spread aroma of Yakshagana in the UAE.
