Belgium: Jyoshma Preema D’Souza, is a PhD student at Psychological Sciences Research Institute of the UCLouvain – Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium and has her Masters in Public Health from MAHE, Manipal. She has been a member of the District Rapid Response Team and was actively involved in the outbreak investigation and control. She has worked on several programs in association with the Indian Government, District Health & Family Welfare Department, and International Health Literacy Association. Jyoshma who is the daughter of Late Edward D’Souza and Philomena D’Souza, both retired from MCC Bank, Mangaluru, is also a Musician (https://youtu.be/zs_JMlWFfJU) and an Artist (https://youtu.be/IW9_LSuTq3c); and finds her interests in giving Motivational Talks as well

Jyoshma is carrying out her research in Public Health in understanding opinions and perceptions of people on general health and specific type of cancer. The study is ethically approved by KMC Manipal ethics committee, and approved to be administered by the Government of Karnataka. The study is being carried out in various districts of the state with the permission of the Government of Karnataka. The participation by candidates will be voluntary, anonymous, and irrespective of prior knowledge of the topic and all the answers will remain confidential. The data is currently collected for the fulfillment of the PhD degree in public health. The results obtained will be helpful to understand individuals opinion and could be used to make policy recommendations to promote health.
