Youth Arrested for Rape on pretext of marriage in Kota
Udupi: The Kota Police arrested a youth for allegedly raping a girl on October 25.
The arrested has been identified as Suhail Mohammed Ali, resident of Gundmi, Sastan.
According to the Kota Police, the youth developed friendship with a degree student and repeatedly raped her after promising to marry her. Recently the girl gave birth to Suhail’s child. Suhail assured of marrying her and at the same time threatened not to disclose his name to anyone.
The girl got suspicious and approached the Kota police and file a complaint. The Kota police registered the complaint and got into action. Suhail who was absconding was arrested by the Kota Police on October 25.
The Kota Police have registered a case and investigation is on.
