ZP CEO suspends Belle Panchayat PDO Benny Quadros
Udupi: Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Priyanka Mary Francis on August 20 suspended Benny Quadros, the Panchayat Development Officer of Belle Gram Panchayat, on the charge of dereliction of duty.
There have been allegations that the officer was misusing funds set aside for implementing distribution of saplings under MGNREGA.
The CEO acted on a report submitted by Rajani Hegde president of the Grama Panchayat. The suspension remains until further orders.
