23 police officers including Dr Sanjeev Patil, Vishnuvardhan and Shantharaju promoted to IPS rank

Mangaluru: The Union government Home ministry on July 21 has promoted 23 Karnataka State Police officers including former DK district DCP Sanjeev Patil, DCP Law and Order Shantharaju, DCP Crime and Traffic Hanumantharaya and present Additional SP Vishnuvardhan N to IPS rank.

The following KSPS officers have been promoted: C K Baba, S Girish, Jeenedra Kanagavi, Joshi Shrinath Mahadev, Abdul Ahad, C B Vedamoorthi, K M Shantharaju, Hanumatharaya, D Devaraju, D R Siri Gowri, Dr. K Dharanidevi, S Savitha, M Puttamadayya, T Shridhar, M Ashwini, AN Prakash Gowda, J K Rashmi, TP Shivakumar, N Vishnuvardhan, Sanjeev M Patil, K Parashuram, H D Anand Kumar and Kalakrishnamoorty.

All the 23 Police officers will remain on probation for the period of one year as per rules of the Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954 and will obtain induction training as per sub rule 5(4) of Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954 as amended dated May 10, 2011.

  1. Congrats to the officers who get promoted ! they done a very good job and bring back the control in DK. Police Department should operate independently without the influence of any Politicians mercy.

    Good Salary and Good facilities to be provided to the Police to attain maximum efficiency and recruitment should be on the basis of merits not on the basis of bribe or influence.
