Karl Urban took memento from ‘Star Trek Beyond’ set

Los Angeles, July 18 (IANS) Actor Karl Urban who reprised his role as Dr. ‘Bones’ McCoy for “Star Trek Beyond”, the third film reboot of the “Star Trek” franchise, took a Star fleet insignia from the sets when the shoot ended.

The 44-year-old shared that he couldn’t resist looting for iconic mementos when the cameras stopped rolling for the project, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

“Did I steal anything? I may have yes… I might have stolen a Star fleet insignia,” Urban told BANG Showbiz magazine.

Having worked on three movies in the film series together, Urban developed a close bond with actor Zachary Quinto — who portrays Spock in the films — and appreciates the way his friend works.

“We had a great time working with each other, a lot of fun and I think we grew closer as a result and came to really appreciate each other’s approach,” he said.
