Man Arrested for Illegal Possession of 26 Passports at MIA

Mangaluru: A man has been arrested in connection with holding 26 passports at the International airport here on August 17.

The arrested has been identified as Abdul (33), a native of Taliparamba. Abdul is working in Dubai and had come down on vacation.

According to the law holding more than one passport is a crime. Abdul was having 26 passports belonging to different persons in his possession. He had come on vacation from Dubai to his native place Taliparamba, Kerala during which he had brought with him 26 passports belonging to different persons assuring them of providing a Haj package.

On August 17, Abdul was flying back to Dubai from Mangaluru International airport. During immigration, the immigration staff found illegal possession of passports with Abdul. They immediately informed the police.

Bajpe police reached the airport and took Abdul into custody. The police are investigating on how and why Abdul was carrying 26 passports belonging to different persons.

A case has been registered in Bajpe police station.

    Another true genius from Kasaragodu. Now, please remember – he is the only one guy in Kasaragodu to hold fake passports. All others are very genuine and follow every single law!! LOL Look at those huge, beautiful houses in kasaragodu area built by all these hardworking men!!! smiles….
