New York, Sep 12 (IANS) Following her shock semi-final exit from the US Open, American tennis ace Serena Williams showed disregard for the media while answering questions at the post-match press conference here.

Serena missed out on completing a calendar Grand Slam as she was stunned 6-2, 4-6, 4-6 by unseeded Italian Roberta Vinci, news.com.au reported on Friday.

During the press conference when she was asked how disappointed she was after the loss, she fired back at a journalist saying, “I don’t want to talk about how disappointing it is for me. If you have any other questions, I’m open for that.”

Thereafter, Serena was asked if at any moment during the match she felt she could make a comeback or maybe she couldn’t, she replied to the questions saying just “no”.

She then fumed when asked if there was a lot of pressure leading into this.

“No. I’ve told you guys I don’t feel pressure. I never felt pressure… I’ve never felt that pressure to win here, I’ve said that from the beginning,” she said.

Then the 21-Grand Slams winner called for “last questions” herself, a task generally left to an event media coordinator.

“I mean, anyone else want to ask a different question than that?” Serena said.

Williams finally warmed to a journalist who asked her if she was leaving the US Open focusing on the positives of her earlier Grand Slam wins.

“Well, thank you. Like I said, I felt very happy to get that win at Wimbledon, you know. I did win three Grand Slams this year. Yeah, I won four in a row. It’s pretty good,” the American concluded.
