The First Catholic Student President of Govt College Ashok Noronha Passes Away

Mangaluru: On the 30th September 2017, at around teatime, the family and friends of ASHOK MARK NORONHA PRABHU , were struck by sadness at his sudden passing away . Ashok was found lying peaceful by his daughters who went to call on their father to have tea.

Born to C R Noronha and Myrtle (nee Britto) in Abadan, Iran on 7th OCT 1948.

The infant has such Charisma and promise that his father wished to call him BHIMA, and settled on naming him Ashok after the great emperor Ashok(a)!

Ashok was the second child to his parents, he has 5 siblings.

Ashok had his early education at the St Aloysius High School. He was elected as the first Catholic Student President of The Government College, Hampankatta, Mangalore.

Hailing from a family of high standing in society, Ashok matched his parents heart and family culture in serving the society.

As a family man, Ashok has been a “big Chocolate daddy” to all his children and their friends. Every child could confide in him, His warm twinkling eyes, the tender assuring hug and sincerity was the best place for any child. The home is filled with young and old alike whose hearts pour out at the loss of this true human being.

His siblings have known him as the other Father throughout their life, for his support, hospitality and enthusiasm.

His living uncles and aunts remember him for state-man-ship at any event, one could anchor on him to make the best of life in any situation.

Quick wit and humour untold. Ashok was famous for his on the spot limericks. A born orator, he has been an excellent Master of Ceremony to every possible event throughout his life.

Upon news of sad and sudden demise, the family is flocked by friends from all walks of life who thoughts and sentiments overflow with fondness and love.
