Uncle’s Slap Claims Life of Teenage Boy from Kadeshwalya

Bantwal: Sachin Naik (16), son of Ganesh Naik of Saroltadka of Kadeshwalya village in the taluk and an SSLC student, died in a Puttur hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Sundar Naik, the elder brother of Ganesh Naik, alleging that Sachin had stolen a mobile phone and a cutting implement from his house, had slapped him on March 27.

Sachin fell ill soon thereafter, yet he appeared for the Kannada examination on March 30. When his condition turned critical, he was shifted to a private hospital in Puttur.

Having failed to recover from the effect, he breathed his last on Sunday morning. A complaint has been filed in the rural police station in Bantwal. A search is on for the accused Sundar Naik.
