13 Fighters of MMFC & FC, of which 11 Bag Medals in MINF Sr Natl Fed Cup 2018

13 Fighters of Monkey Mayhem Fight Club & Fitness Centre- KS Rao-Mangaluru {MMMFC & FC} of which 11 Fighters Bag Medals in Muaythai Indian National Federation {MINF} Senior National Federation Cup 2018, held in Srinagar-Jammu & Kashmir from 20th to 23rd April 2018.

Mangaluru: Our City-Mangaluru being an Educational Hub, where students apart from academics are learning various other Cultural Arts/Sports Talents, and other Arts, but it’s nice to note that Monkey Mayhem Fight Club & Fitness Centre, affiliated to Muaythai Association of Karnataka has imbibed the art of Muaythai in many youngsters in town, and has reached greater heights, having bagged many medals/awards in various Championships/Competitions-which has put Mangaluru worldwide in the Map of Muaythai competitions. Mangaloreans should be proud of these young and energetic youth aka Fighters, having brought name and fame for this Education Hub-Mangaluru!

Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Rajgopal Rai-President of Muaythai Association of Karnataka® said, ” Our Association had conducted the state selection trials on March 20th 2018 for the National Muaythai Federation Cup, 2018 at Mangaluru, from which 15 Male Athletes and 15 Female Athletes were selected by the state selection committee to represent the state in the presence of myself. And recently 13 Fighters from MONKEY MAYHEM FIGHT CLUB & FITNESS CENTRE, Mangaluru, had been selected to represent the state in Muaythai Indian National Federation {MINF} Senior National Federation Cup 2018, held in Srinagar-Jammu & Kashmir from 20th to 23rd April 2018, and of which 11 fighters have brought glory to the state by winning Medals in different categories as follows.

Men’s Weight Category

1) Shodhan Shetty – Bronze Medal (54 to 57kg)
2) Leander D’souza – Silver Medal(57 to 60kg)
3) Ankush Bhandary – Gold Medal( 61 to 63kg)
4) Uwaiz Jalihal – Gold Medal(71 to 75kg)
5) Nithesh Kumar – Gold Medal (76 to 81kg)
6) Sukeerthan K – Gold Medal (81 to 86kg)
7) Farzeen Ahmed – Gold Medal (86 to 91kg)

Women’s Weight Category

1) Chelsea Khor – Bronze Medal (48 to 51kg)
2) Sharon Mathew – Bronze Medal (51 to 54kg)
3) Anwitha J Alva – Gold Medal( 54 to 57kg)
4) Anisha R Shetty – Gold Medal ( 57 to 60kg)

WOMEN’S PRO-AM LEAGUE FIGHT:

1) Anwitha J Alva – Gold Medal (51-55kg Bantam Weight Champion)
2) Anisha R Shetty – Gold Medal (55 – 60kg Feather Weight Champion)

Also speaking at the press meet, Nithesh Chandra Kumar-Chief General Secretary of the Muaythai Association of Karnataka said, ” Team Monkey Mayhem has also contributed in bringing home the trophy of Runners-up in Overall Championship with a total of 7 Gold, 1 Silver and 4 Bronze. Also, Anwitha J Alva and Anisha Shetty became the First ever Champions in the Women’s League in their respective weight categories. Anwitha J Alwa and Anisha R Shetty are awarded the ‘Best Fighters of Karnataka’ (Female division) after their recent achievement at National Senior Federation Cup Women’s League, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir 2018″.

It was also announced that 13 fighters of Monkey Mayhem will be leaving to Goa to take part in the Juniors and Sub Juniors Muaythai Federation Cup 2018 to be held in Goa from 2 June onwards. Sachin Raj Rai-Joint Secretary, Advocate Raghavendra Rao-Legal Advisor and Mahesh Kumar D Pandya-Vice President of the association were also present for the press meet.
