15 passengers injured in Truck – bus Head-on collision
Karkala: Fifteen passengers including the bus driver sustained injuries when a Private bus collided with a 407 truck at Hiragana Nellikatte, Karkala Taluk here on August 3.
According to the police, the private bus was on its way to Hebri from Karkala, a 407 mini truck which was coming from opposite direction collided head-on into the bus.
Fifteen people including the Bus Driver N R Swami (45), Prajna (21), Dhananj (23), Apoorva (18), Priya (18), Mohini (62), Jayanthi (53), Savithri (47), Antony (36), Vasanthi (52), Kanaka (19), Swathi (19), Akshatha (24) and truck driver Praveen Nayak (38) and Sunil (28) were injured in accident.
The injured passengers have been shifted to Manipal and Karkala Hospitals.
A case has been registered in the Ajekar Police Station.
