Bengaluru: Case of Missing Malathi Shetty – High Court Serves Notices on Govt, Cops

Bengaluru: Malathi Shetty, a senior woman from Charukotti of Korgi village in Kundapur taluk of Udupi district, had left home aroung 1-30 pm on June 24, 2015 on the pretext of visiting a neighbour.

She had not taken any clothes nor her mobile phone. Ever since neither she had returned nor are any clues available about her safety or whereabouts.

A complaint had been given to the local police. Her Seattle-based software engineer son, Satish Shetty, had immediately flown down to pursue the matter, He met the SP of Udupi and other officials, but there has been no use.

Satish recently filed a habeas corpus appeal in the state high court seeking orders to the police as early as police. The court has now issued notices to the state government, the IGP western range, Mangaluru and others to expedite the matter.
