217 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi District on August 25
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 217 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on August 25 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 10453.
Among the 217 new cases, 122 are from Udupi, 40 from Kundapur, 51 from Karkala, and 4 from outside the district.
As of now, 895 throat swab samples are pending for results, 1388 samples were sent for testing on August 25 and 1233 samples were tested negative. A total of 55346 swab samples out of the 66694 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 2625. So far, 7737 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 91 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
