25-year-old Man Arrested for Rape Attempt on Minor
Belthangady: A 25-year-old man has been arrested for an alleged rape attempt on a minor girl at Dharmasthala here on December 27.
The arrested has been identified Umesh (25), a resident of Nedle. Umesh is an auto driver by profession.
On December 24, while the victim was alone at home at Mapalaje, Nidle, Umesh entered the house and attempted to rape her. In this connection, the victim’s mother filed a complaint in the Dharmastala police station.
On December 27, after receiving the complaint, the Dharmasthala police arrested Umesh and have registered a case under the POCSO act.
