28-year old Nun found dead on railway track in Hubli

Bengaluru (Goa Chronicle): The severed body of 28-year old nun Sister Mary Sendra Vianney of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Convent was found on the railway tracks in the town of Hubli in Karnataka.

The shocking incident occurred around 3.30 am on December 4th, 2019.

Sister Mary is the second child in the family of four children born to Gurushantappa and Kosumaria at Gadag, Belgaum.

She joined the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany on 22 May 2012.

After her religious formation in Bethany Novitiate, Bogadi, Mysore, she was assigned to Western Province.

She rendered her services at Fatima Convent Madanabhavi, Bethany Convent, Kalaburagi and Bethany convent Camp Belgaum, pursuing teacher’s training at St. Joseph’s college Belgaum.

The reason behind Sister Mary’s death are still not clear. Police are investigating into whether it was a suicide or foul play.
