3 Women arrested for Kidnapping and pushing Minor Girls into Prostitution
Davanagere: Three women have been arrested by the police for kidnapping young girls and pushing them into prostitution in Davanagere.
The arrested have been identified as Geetha (33), Anitha (34) and Roopa (28) all from Davanagere.
According to SP R Chethan, the accused were involved in kidnapping minor girls from Bus and Railway stations and pushing them into prostitution. A girl who was kidnapped by these women and forced into prostitution has now been tested positive for HIV.
The main accused Shivu is absconding and search is on for him and another accused. These women had earlier been arrested in a kidnap case and had come out on bail.
