Mangaluru: A 33-year-old, employee of the Indian Air Force died after falling down from the steps of the over-bridge at the central railway station here on March 25.
The deceased has been identified as K K Manoj Kumar (33), native of Kanhangad.
According to sources it is learnt that Manoj was on his way to his home town. He had traveled from Nasik to Mangaluru and was supposed to catch a train to Kanhangad. When he was climbing the steps of the over-bridge to go to the other of the platform he slipped and fell down.
Other commuters who were nearby called the ambulance, but Manoj had already breathed his last on the spot. A case has been registered in the railway police station. Family members of the deceased were also informed by the police.
