Aditya Rao shifted from Solitary Cell to Barracks

Mangaluru: Serial bomb planter Aditya Rao was shifted from a solitary cell to the barracks in district jail on Tuesday.

Aditya Rao, after being arrested and remanded to judicial custody, had sought solitary confinement for less contact with other inmates.

Then Aditya Rao tested positive to Malaria and had to be shifted to district Wenlock hospital. As he had tested positive for Malaria, a witness parade scheduled on February 25 was cancelled.

Sources at the district jail told that Aditya fearing that he would be bedridden with Malaria again during the solitary confinement requested the authorities to shift him to the barracks. On his request, Aditya was shifted to a cell with five undertrials.
