Anti-rowdy Squad Arrests Interstate Rowdy
Mangaluru: The Anti-rowdy squad succeeded in arresting an interstate rowdy at K C Road here on February 1.
The arrested has been identified as Mohammed Rafiq alias Nappate (29) from Uppala Kasargod.
According to the police, Mohammed Rafiq along with his associates had barged into Silicon apartment at Someshwar and used foul language at a woman. Mohammed also threatened the woman with life. In this connection, a case was filed in the Ullal police station.
On getting information about Mohammed Rafiq, the police from the Anti-rowdy squad arrested him at K C Road.
Mohammed Rafiq is involved in various crimes and 13 cases of murder, kidnap and attempt to murder have been registered against him in various police stations. Arrest warrants have also been issued against him in the Puttur Town and Puttur rural police stations but he was absconding without appearing before the court.
The operation was carried out by ACP Ram Rao, Ullal Police inspector and police from the Anti-rowdy squad.
